South Asians
Many of those that migrate from South Asia to other parts of the world pass through or have ties to East Africa. They hold tightly to their unique culture, traditions and religious beliefs, and a sense of community is important to them. Most of the 200,000 South Asians in Kenya are from Gujarat state in western India and are Hindu or Jain. Pray for opportunities to clearly share Christ with this community.

Maasai of Tanzania
The 800,000 Maasai in Tanzania are spread out in remote areas and are difficult to access. They believe there is an all-powerful and all-knowing god whom they call Nkai, but they do not know how to relate to him. They sense that the oldest living men of their tribe are like Nkai, so they hold these men in high esteem. Pray that the Maasai in Tanzania turn to God for guidance and as their source of life.

Turkana
The 580,000 Turkana, who pride themselves as the most fearless fighters of Kenya, believe there is one powerful god named Akuj. They relate to Akuj through a diviner, a person with the power to explain dreams, foretell the future, heal the sick and bring rain. This last power is especially important as there is little rain in the Turkana area. Pray that the Turkana would seek truth and come to know the one true God.

Teso
The 250,000 Teso are a Nilotic people separated by the Kenya-Uganda border, with those in Kenya being less evangelized. The Teso, known for painting pictures of men and animals on their homes, are mainly cattle herders and agriculturalists. Pray that the Christians among this people group in Uganda will share their faith boldly with their neighbors in Kenya who remain an unreached people group.

The Deaf of Kenya
The 200,000 deaf in Kenya are often seen not simply as a person who is unable to hear, but as a person who lacks the mental ability to speak or relate to others. Most are not able to receive proper education, nor are they offered opportunities which allow them to meet their full potential. Pray that the Good News of Christ would clearly be presented to every deaf person in Kenya.
