Toposa
The Toposa of Southern Sudan, numbering up to 750,000, have less than 2% that have responded to the Gospel. They are pastoralists feared by their neighbors due to their honed art of cattle raiding and war. They believe in a supreme god, but worship and offer sacrifices to the spirits of their departed ancestors. They have no evangelical presence sharing Christ among them in a culturally appropriate way.

Dinka
The Dinka are the largest people group in Southern Sudan, numbering up to three million. The daily lives of these very tall and very dark people revolve around cattle. While some work has been done in this area, less than 2% have made Jesus their Lord. After many years of residing in refugee camps due to 20 years of civil war, a recent peace agreement is allowing many Dinka to return to their traditional homeland.

Jur
The Jur people, numbering more than 100,000, have had little opportunity to hear about our Lord and have less than 2% of the population confessing Christ as Lord. They believe in a creator god, but use fortune tellers to plead with spirits of their ancestors. Hunting, fishing, and beekeeping are their primary industries. They are also known for working with metals.

Didinga
The 60,000 Didinga of Southern Sudan are pastoralists at heart but agriculturalists by necessity. They are not very active people, but focus primarily on their land. These traits have helped to preserve their culture and traditions. They are also believers in a supreme god and offer sacrifices and prayers to the spirits that they believe live among them. Having no one there sharing the Good News of Christ has led to a less than 2% evangelical Christian presence.

Nuer
The Nuer are the second largest people group in Southern Sudan at approximately 2 million. They have no evangelical work among them, and are less than 2% evangelized. Most make their homes in swampy areas around the Nile and other rivers where they grow sorghum, maize and tobacco. Large petroleum deposits have been found on their land, causing extreme disruption to their traditional way of life.
