people sit on wooden pew-type seats

Answer: In Madagascar we have Sunday School for the children on
Saturday.

Answer: Rice is the common local food. It is eaten three times a day.
As a soft cereal in the morning, then at lunch and dinner with
vegetables and meat sauces.

Answer: The money that we use in Madagascar is called Francs

Answer: Well the major city shopping is very busy, but most things
can be bought in tiny shops along the road. Some people set up shops in
the front room of their homes.

Answer: Oh yes we have many markets. You can buy many things in the
markets from spare car parts to flowers!
Question: What can't you get in Madagascar that you have to make
yourself or do without?
Answer: There are some things that we can't get here, one is syrup,
like for pancakes. We make our own with flavoring we bring from the
States. Also there is no shortening substitute here. So when we bake we
have to use butter. It makes things quite fattening.
Question: How about the language you use, what is the name of it and
can you give us some words?
Answer: The name of the language we use is Malagasy. This is the
local, common language. However we also use French because that is the
official, government language.
