The African continent is at war. Not only are individual countries at war among them selves and with other countries, but each country is at war with a deadly epidemic called AIDS.
Since the start of the epidemic an estimated 34 million people living in
sub-Saharan Africa have been infected with HIV.
Pray the African people will become aware of the seriousness of AIDS, and what
the disease is doing to their families.
AIDS in Africa is not the same as AIDS in the
western world. Yes, the disease is the same, the medical recommendations
are the same, the symptoms are the same, the end results are the same -
DEATH. However, AIDS in Africa encompasses not only those who are in
the 'high risk' category but also the innocent. Wives of unfaithful
husbands, husbands of unfaithful wives, children, oh so many children of parents
who just didn't know they were HIV positive. Some of the traditional
practices in the rural areas contribute to the spread of AIDS. There are
many, many people in the Central Eastern Southern Africa Region who are HIV positive. They
either don't know it or they don't want to know it. Click on the link to

We in the Central Eastern Southern Africa Region, are
committed to giving a hope. Not of a cure, necessarily, but an eternity
with Jesus Christ for those who believe. We are committed to reaching
people with the Good News of Jesus Christ. AIDS is devastating, but
condoms or new medications won't make a dent in the number of victims
brought down by this dreaded disease. What will make an impact is the
concert of prayer for people to see their need for salvation, commitment to
Biblical abstinence before marriage and faithfulness in marriage. Pray for
the peoples of Africa to see their need for a Savior.
