Malawi
1- Happy New Year!!!!!! Please pray for Susan Sanson as she recovers from knee surgery. Pray that she will not be discouraged. Pray that she will be walking without any pain or problems very soon.
2- Pray that God would provide just the right school where Kym & Johanna can teach and build relationships with their students.
3- Praise the Lord that Al and Claudia Rudd, a masters couple, will be joining the GMC in April to work with the Tumbuka people and do community development. Pray for Jason Brown as he flies today back to the States. Pray for a safe trip and for a great spring semester.
4- Happy Birthday to Will Menser! Will is 10 today. Please pray for the 13 Bible School students who will be graduating from the Lilongwe Bible School on this day.
5- Pray for Amanda Gray & Samantha Polglase as they travel back to RVA today. Pray that this will be an excellent term for them. Pray also for Elizabeth Polglase as the leaves for Senegal today. Pray that she will arrive safely tomorrow in Dakar and that God will bless her as she gets settled.
6- Pray for the Robertsons as they prepare for the Rudds. Pray that God will lead them as they look for a house for the Rudds in Mzimba.
7- Pray that medical clearance for baby Isaac Pumpelly will be granted in a timely fashion so as not to delay them in going to FPO.
8- Pray for Bev as she seeks God’s will about the ministry He has for her in the coming months.
9- Praise the Lord for the 15 students who will be graduating from Bible School in Karonga this month. Pray that they will guard their hearts, stand firm in their faith, and be faithful to teach others the Word.
10- Seminary classes will begin on Monday, please pray for Betty, Lloyd, and Mary as they are all teaching this term. Pray for Josh Brown as he leaves Malawi today for the USA.
11- Pray for Amy Polglase as she flies to the US today. Pray for her as she leads a prayer group of freshmen this semester. Pray that she will continue to grow strong in her faith.
12- - Please pray for SL training in Joberg- that begins today until the 29th. Pray for the Hootens & Cearleys as they lead. Pray that there be a good spirit and teachable hearts among participants during these weeks. Pray especially for the Lawrences & Nalls who will be among those attending this training.
13- Happy Birthday to Janet Lawrence.
14 –Tim Cearley asks prayer for ”the right counsel in the next few weeks to help set up God’s best use of the leadership and skill sets that He has blessed us with in Africa.” Pray for him as he seeks the best way to define the clusters for our affinity group and then seeks leaders for those clusters.
15- Pray for the Pumpelleys as they begin traveling to FPO today.
16- Happy Birthday to David Collier, son of Sherry & Ross. David lives in Tyler, Texas.
17- Michelle will meet with Mzimba women associational officers today to plan for 2009. Pray for the Holy Spirit to give them wisdom and guidance as they meet together.
18 – Pray for Bible Schools all over Malawi which will have new intakes of students this month. Pray for strong commitment and diligence both for students & teachers.
19- Happy Birthday to Zac Menser, who is 15 today.
20- Happy Birthday to Katie Nalls. Jill Menser’s sister, Kim Kessler, will be having surgery today. Pray for a quick recovery and no complications.
21--Pray for a new friend of the Menser family, C.K. (an unbeliever), that the Lord would open doors for them to share the love of Christ with her.
22- Pray for the Lawrences & Brownfields as they prepare for the “Hands On” participants who will be coming soon. Pray that God will guide them as they supervise these young people.

24 – Pray that Eric as he obtains work permits, oversees house repairs, arranges travel, makes deposits, to name a few of the things he does each day for us so that we can concentrate on our work. Pray God’s blessing on him and his family today.
25 – Happy Birthday to Craig Nalls, father of Chris Nalls.
26- Field Personnel Orientation at ILC begins today. Please pray for the Pumpellys & Rudds to stay focused on why they are there. Pray that their hearts would be open to all that God wants to teach them during this time. Pray also for Anya and Ethan Pumpelly and all of the adjustments that they are in the midst of right now in their lives. Pray that many new and wonderful relationships will be made during these weeks at ILC.

31 – Pray for the 6 “Hands On” young people who will be working in Malawi. Pray for good health for them. Pray that God will use them to lead others to Christ.. Pray that this experience would teach them many things about themselves and God. Pray that they will be learners and especially will have a clear understanding of what missions is all about
