Prayer Calendar - July ' 09
1 July- Pray for seminary wives' classes that are taking place this week. Pray that the women will learn much and be encouraged in their walk with God. / Bev moves today to Mangochi. Pray for her and the Brown's as they get her house set up. Pray for Bev as she adjusts to her new home.
2 July- Happy Birthday to Ethan Pumpelly who is 5 today!
Happy Birthday to Earnest Sibley, emeritus, Texas. / Pray for revivals taking place at two different churches in the Mzimba District beginning this day.
3 July- Happy Birthday to Heather Brown Weaver, daughter of John & Claudia. Pray for Heather as a new mother to Kannon!
4 July- Pray for Chris who will be traveling today & tomorrow to visit churches in Zobue, Mozambique. Pray for wisdom in how to best move forward with leadership development in this area.
5 July- Pray for four men from Central Baptist Church in Jonesboro, Ark. who arrive today to work with the Brown's. They will be staying and witnessing in three villages in Neno District with the plan to start three new churches. They depart July 13th. / Brownfield's will begin recording the "story songs" local churches learned or in many cases wrote to reinforce the T4T stories that will be recorded later. Pray for electricity and no technical problems.
6 July- Please pray for the first Cluster Strategy Leaders 'meeting which begins today until the 9th. Pray for David H. as he leads this meeting, that he would communicate clearly and concisely all that needs to be talked about during this time.
7 July- Continue to pray for Betty's sister, Denise, who had knee replacement surgery last month. Pray that she would respond well to physical therapy and be able to walk without problems very soon!
8 July- Happy Birthday to Claudia Rudd/ Happy Birthday to Carl Houston, emeritus, NC /The Sanson's ask for prayer for their former students, who are now in jobs and have families. Pray that they would persevere in their walk with Christ, standing strong when temptations or difficulties come.
9 July - Pray that God would send those students who need counseling to the Sanson's. Pray they would have courage and vulnerability to share with Billy & Susan their problems.
10 July- Please pray for David Hooten's niece, Olivia and her husband Dave Hunt & baby, Sadie. Sadie was born on June 25, full term, but until now has not breathed on her own. She is presently in the hospital gaining strength and from various tests; it appears there has been very minimal to no brain damage from lack of oxygen.
11 July- Pray for the Pumpelly's & Rudd's as they study language. Pray that they will persevere when it seems too difficult, be encouraged often, and have courage in trying out the words/phrases they are studying.
12 July- From today until the 22nd, Brownfield's will again be traveling through the most unreached part of Lomweland, talking to people and passing out tracts. Pray for increasing proficiency in Portuguese and continued acquisition of new Lomwe vocabulary.
13 July- Happy Birthday to Eric Laffoon! / Happy Birthday to Josh Brown! / Pray for Jeff & Mary as they fly to Kenya today to have physicals and then be with Samantha for senior night on Friday and graduation on Saturday.
14 July- Pray for Billy Sanson as he deals with some very difficult issues as chaplain at Chancelor College. Pray that the Lord would fill him with godly wisdom.
15 July- Pray for Claudia Brown as she flies to the USA today to spend time with Heather, Kenton and Kannon, as well as seeing her mom, John's mom, and their boys. Pray that it will be a precious time. Pray for John as he remains in Malawi.
16 July- Happy Anniversary to Al & Claudia Rudd!
17 July- Pray for a women's meeting that is today & tomorrow at Kamchocho in Mzimba district. Pray especially for Michelle who will be teaching tomorrow that God would speak through her to the hearts of all the women who come.
18 July- Happy Birthday to Bob Brownfield! /Samantha graduates today from Rift Valley Academy. Pray for her as she says bye to her classmates and as she begins this new chapter in her life.
19 July- please pray for David's mother as she cares for his dad who has Alzheimers. Please pray that Jimmie will be happy today, and have moments of recall. Please pray for Peggy, for strength, discernment and patience in caring for Jimmie.
20 July- Pray for the Menser's as Tim prepares to teach at the Seminary in the coming weeks. Pray for focus and discernment as he prepares for each class. Pray for Jill and the kids to enjoy their last weeks of "vacation" before they begin homeschool classes again.
21 July- Pray for the Laffoon's as they pack up their house and get ready for STAS in two weeks. Pray that they will have extra energy!
22 July- Pray for Chris Nalls & Charlie Lechner as they travel to Beira for the Mozambican Bapt. Convention meeting. Pray that unity would prevail. Pray that they would desire to see God glorified in Mozambique.
23 July- Pray for the Lawrence's as they begin learning the L.C. job.
24 July- Happy Anniversary to Jeff & Mary Polglase!
25 July- Pray that God will direct the Laffoon's as they seek to find the correct diagnosis for Nathanel. Pray that the Lord will lead them to the best doctor for helping Nathanel.
26 July- Pray for Bible Schools that will begin tomorrow in Mulanje and Ntchisi. Pray that the Lord will bless the students and teachers with sharp minds and tender hearts. Pray that students will be motivated and teachable.
27 July- Happy Anniversary to Gary & Michelle Robertson! Arrival day for AMTM. Pray for safe travel. Pray that this meeting will be uplifting for all. Pray for Jeff, Charlie, & Eddie as they lead. Pray for the volunteer team who are coming to lead us in worship and teach our children. Pray that God would use them and bless them greatly this week.
28 July- Pray for the MKs to have a great week at AMTM.
29 July- Happy Birthday to Sherry Collier!!!! / Happy Birthday to Beverly Kingsley, emeritus, TX.
30 July- Praise God for His favor that was showed at the "block party" that Nathaniel helped organize in the inner city of Lynchburg. Please pray for the salvation of Pat and his mother. Praise God for one young Christian lady who has given her time and efforts to work with the girls in the street....
31 July- Pray that AMTM will end well today. Pray that God will fill our hearts with His love and joy. Pray that in all we do, we will glorify and bring blessing and honor to HIM.
