The view of Nairobi and the breeze through the window mingled with the cooking of the noon meal was stirring the worker’s senses.  Rita continued to cook their lunch but smiled sweetly while pouring out her story.  Rita mentioned this was her second marriage. Rita and Rick are from previous marriages that turned horribly wrong. Rita, being a Bohra woman, is married to Rick, who is Ismaili.  Rita had married for love the first time. There was no need for a dowry to go to the husband’s side. Well into the marriage, the in-laws discovered that Rita was connected to a tycoon on the coast of Kenya. Thinking he was her father, they refused to understand he was only Rita’s uncle.  While the husband was away, the in-laws visited Rita. They poured kerosene on her as they burned her.  This happened while she was seven months pregnant.  The marriage failed, the baby born, and the husband gained custody.  The story of love gone wrong hit the worker’s heart.  Rita now lives in Nairobi. Her face shows no scars.  Rita then showed the worker her tummy and arms. The scars were so awful.  Rita announced as the lady left, “You came here a visitor but you leave as my sister. This is your home now.” Please pray for Rita and Rick to have dreams and visions of HIM speaking truth to them.  Please pray for them to both find HIM as the only way to heal the scars in the heart.

Simon is a strong Christian leader among South Asian community of Nairobi, Kenya. For sometime now he has served the Nairobi community faithfully for a good work opportunity, while his family remained in India.  Last year he answered the Lords call to East Africa and now he feels that his family needs to be with him. Pray that the Lord will provide sufficient work in order for his family to join him in Nairobi.

An ongoing family crisis set the stage for Natalie hearing about Jesus for the first time.  As she poured out her heart over recent developments, she learned how Jesus died to save her.  This month pray for a favorable resolution to the crisis. Pray also that Natalie will find redemption in the blood of Jesus.
