THANK YOU FOR PRAYING! GOD IS AT WORK! All 3 came a long way to see us. Baba, the father, is blind and has lost many of his toes. All have had at least 1 swollen limb from elephantiasis (a disease that affects the lymph system and causes swelling and disfigurement.) About a year ago Mama was visiting asking for help with some money. At that time I noticed that she had a problem with her foot and asked her about it. The Lord had it arranged so that at that time we had a volunteer doctor here with us. He was able to see her and diagnosis her problem. Not only was she affected but also her husband and married daughter were. Now they have all been treated and are much better! The mother looks like a new person. The daughter looks hopeful!! They are all very thankful for the medications. Please pray for Mama, Baba, and Dada. Pray that the seeds of the Good News that have been planted in their lives will take root and grow and that they will come to see the hope that they can have in Jesus.
Solomon has not been wise. He is a young man who we had been helping to get a Secondary Education. He is in his last year. Recently, we heard that he left school and went to Dar-es-Salaam. We were told that he got another student pregnant and so he ran away. Please pray for Solomon and for this young lady. Pray that he will turn to Jesus and that he will come to understand that God has a good plan for his life!
We were disappointed that the Bible School did not start this past month but whenever there is a closed door the Lord gives us another way of doing things! So instead of having the school in one place, our leaders are looking at taking the training to more local sites, closer to the participants. Please pray that the leaders will be committed to discipleship and leadership training.
