Thank you letter from Zimbabwe

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

On Sunday when Lorraine met me arriving for Prayer Group at 8 a.m. and told me there was a hamper of goodies for me from The Baptist Church - this information came at a time I was severely stressed, and in relief (as much as joy) I started to weep. (Stupid old woman that I am!) As I walk to church services, Lorraine told me it was too heavy for me to carry. However, our church office arranged for the big carton, and the two bottle of oil, to be delivered to our house yesterday.

I kept the carton unopened until my husband arrived home, and together we took great delight in seeing the most generous and varied contents in the box.
As well as appreciating the wide selection and big quantities of food and cleaning aids (all imported). I was most impressed by the forethought and work which must have gone into preparing such hampers. Lorraine told me how, from time to time, these generous hampers arrive at the Baptist churches in Zimbabwe for distribution - and our BBC was sent 80 such. Even to pack up 80 such cartons is a stalwart effort - let alone to supply many to all the Zimbabwean Baptist Churches. The money to purchase and give such gifts, the work and decisions in sourcing and purchasing the goods; then the careful packing of items like the soap and detergent in separate strong plastic in such a way they would not taint anything else, and fitting them all so solidly into the carton, is mind boggling to me. It all called for so much effort by so many people to help folk in need - whom they would never meet - called for great Christian love coming to the fore.

And all I can say to you all is - Thank you so very, very, much for your generosity to my husband and me for helping us in this way. I know the Lord will bless you for your generosity, and trust His hand of blessing will be on each of you for your own needs.

With love in the Lord's name, and most sincerely yours, Margaret Kaye-Eddie
