Imagine sitting in your living room, preparing for a child's birthday party and being surprised by a large tree falling through the roof close to where you were.  On March the 4th, this happened to Belinda Jordan, a member of the Swazi Team.  Because of the large amount of rain and high winds, 4 huge trees fell on the mission property in Mbabane.  One of the trees hit the servant's quarters and another the mission house causing structural damage to both buildings.

The first tree fell on the servant's quarters about 5:00am.  Thankfully the Swazi that lived in the apartment had just left with Steve Allen, Swazi Team missionary that lived next door, for a funeral.  Later in the morning while Al Jordan was surveying the damage and working with removing limbs and debris, the tree fell through the roof of the mission house.  Belinda's screams could be heard next door!!

Al and Belinda Jordan arrived in Swaziland May of 2005 as the Volunteer Coordinators for the Swazi Team.  Because of the death of Belinda's mother in December and the need to assist with family issues in the States, the Jordans left Swaziland on the 15th of March.  As Al stated in the Swazi Communique, "our closing days have not been uneventful!"

We are so thankful no one was hurt during this incident.  We do ask you to pray for the repair of the damage that is soon to start.  It will take quite a bit of work to get everything cleaned up, fixed and ready for occupancy.
