Suswa and Masaini Feeding Event September 9, 2004

 We looked up into a clear blue sky.  This would normally be a welcome sight, but we were looking for rain clouds.  The Suswa and Masaini areas of Kenya are in the midst of a drought as are several areas of Kenya.  

 On September 9, 2004 members of Tigoni Baptist Fellowship, the faculty, students and staff from Kenya Baptist Theological College and the staff of Brackenhurst Baptist International Conference Center traveled to Suswa and Masaini in southwest Kenya .  The purpose of their trip was to deliver food to this drought and famine ravaged area.  Over the last several weeks members of Tigoni Baptist Fellowship, the faculty, staff and students from Kenya Baptist Theological College and the staff of Brackenhurst Baptist International Conference Center have been raising money to buy food for the starving people of the Suswa and Masaini areas of Kenya .  Several sections of Kenya are going through severe drought, and hundreds of persons are dying each day from starvation.  The food delivered was enough to feed 600 families for several weeks.  Please pray for rain to come to Kenya .  And that more food will be arriving soon for the starving people of Kenya .
